Reflection:
Recognizing the social, political and human aspects of education, and how those aspects create interdependencies in the work that we do is critical. While I came into my masters and licensure programs having little contextual knowledge, my coursework definitely increased both my awareness as well as my ability to leverage this as an educational leader. Exploring the inner workings of our school board, experiencing the input of community institutions, and developing programming with outside agencies were all a part of my coursework and practicum experiences.
