About Me
Hi there, I'm Elizabeth.
Since the summer of 2015, I have served as a Coordinator of
Learning for Spring Lake Park Schools. During that time I have
carried areas of stewardship for our district including
Innovative and Personalized Learning, Design Thinking, and
Student Engagement. I'm grateful to be a part of Spring Lake
Park as we're a highly innovative school system
dedicated to new ideas, customized experiences,
and personalized learning.
My reasons for taking this role are many; the opportunity to
explore new projects, the privilege to support and collaborate
alongside our adult learners in a whole new way, the ability to
serve our students in an innovative and technology rich
district, and the chance to work in an area for which I have a
tremendous amount of passion, experience, and drive to learn
more.
My goal for this site is to cascade the learning I have engaged in
and share it with you. I recently earned my Masters in
Educational Leadership and Principal licensure from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Through both programs, as well as through my role as a Coordinator of Learning, I have engaged in a great deal of learning, exploration, and reflection that I hope to give you a window into. Within this site, you will find a portfolio of work by exploring Competency Reflection and Artifacts above. These pages document my learning and growth, inclusive of information and artifacts to explore around my philosophy on leadership, my educational leadership and leadership practicum experiences, and documentation of my proficiency with the Core Leadership Competencies and Minnesota K-12 Principal Competencies. You are also encouraged to examine Resume and Credentials above for an overview of my experiences, or select the Resources tab to explore resources and deliverables from professional learning experiences I have been a part of both as a facilitator and a learner. The intent of this entire site is not only to document my own learning, but to make it visible and accessible to you.
On a personal note, in my spare time, I'm a skater for the Minnesota Roller Derby and it's perfect. I also like to consider myself a pretty good vegetarian cook, despite the fact that most of my culinary expertise comes solely from watching Chopped.
